# AltAD Lab

> Mechanical forces are integral to life, spanning molecular binding, tissue compaction, and muscle contraction. Our lab is interested in addressing one fundamental question: how these tiny forces function at the cellular and intracellular scales? To this end, we focus on cytoskeleton — a major player in force generation and adaptation in cells. We investigate cytoskeleton dynamics and mechanics across multiple model systems, including dental stem cells, intestinal organoids and preimplantation mammalian embryos. By understanding the fundamental principles of mechanics in various living systems, we aim to develop mechano-engineering and therapeutic strategies for reproduction, disease, and regenerative medicine.
